Welcome to the Center for Companion Animal Health (CCAH) at the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine. The CCAH was founded in 1992 and has grown progressively since then. Our mission is to improve the health of companion animals by encouraging and supporting academic studies and clinical research into diseases affecting dogs, cats and other small pets. By doing this, we directly impact animal health. We also develop and support programs that benefit pets and their owners, including the Koret Shelter Medicine Program, the first academically based program in shelter animal health in the world. Please explore our website to learn more about the CCAH. I hope you find it useful.
